There is something especially heartbreaking about saying goodbye to a beloved dog, especially our beautiful girl Missy. She gave us her heart and love so freely, asking for so little, and somehow leaves her paw prints on our souls that time cannot erase... our hearts will never forget.
I composed and performed The Crying Sun (A Song for Our Beloved Missy) with this photograph from NYC that is even more meaningful. It is no longer simply a beautiful moment beside a Steinway grand piano in New York City. It is a portrait of love, companionship, and a life that mattered. In fact, this entire music video is packed with photos and videos of our beautiful Missy girl.
Why is tribute song titled "The Crying Sun"? Perhaps because the sun is crying even on the brightest days, feeling a little dimmer and cloudy with rain and tears without Missy.
