Video by K&Ro Hiking Happens. Why would a battle that basically ended in a draw be considered a significant turning point in the American revolution?

Come along with us as we try to uncover why The Battle of Monmouth was important enough to warrant preserving the battlefield as a New Jersey State Park.

We walked the Farm Trail, a 4-mile loop around farmlands where the Battle of Monmouth unfolded on June 28, 1778. A few farmhouses that witnessed the battle still stand today. There is informational panels placed around the trail telling the story of The Battle of Monmouth.

The Legend of Molly Pitcher has ties to this battle as well.
