CONTACT of Mercer County, NJ—Why We Save Lives
Started in 1976, CONTACT of Mercer County, NJ has provided help for countless individuals in need by offering hope and care through focused telephone, chat, and text support, crisis intervention, and suicide prevention. CONTACT’s Mission is to provide emotional support to people in crisis or considering suicide to help increase their sense of well-being and their desire to live. Nonjudgmental Counselors help individuals feel safe, cared for, and listened to as CONTACT attempts to help those in need gain clarity so that they can find their way forward.

CONTACT is part of the New Jersey 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline Network, operating a statewide 988 telephone suicide prevention hotline program. CONTACT also manages New Jersey 988 Chat & Text, the state’s only suicide prevention chat and text service. CONTACT also supports the CONTACT Listening Line. Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. for callers who want to talk about personal mental health issues in confidence. Call 609-896-2120.
