Academics and political activists Dr. Cornel West and Reverend Sekou led a peaceful march to Ferguson's Police Department on Monday. Dr Cornel West was arrested shortly after the rally./nThe 600-strong demonstration broke out in minor scuffles as a riot police cordon attempted to deter protesters with their shields. Protesters responded by singing gospel songs and reciting prayers./nThe protest coincided with several other acts of civil disobedience on 'Moral Monday', all hoping to highlight the mistreatment of African Americans, especially in regard to police brutality. Monday sees the last of the 'Weekend of Resistance' demonstrations, discussions and workshops that have hit St. Louis and surrounding areas this weekend
