I create fine art and jewelry. I try to convert commonplace objects and circumstances into something emotionally relevant. For instance, in my feathered friend and animal paintings, instead of using the neutral colors of nature for most of the backdrops, I make use of rich colors that engender on the paintings a gemlike condition, that may intensify the enjoyment when contemplating the images. I paint realistically, and, lately, utilizing surrealism, as shown in my Allegorical art. I create handmade jewelry because I love the beauty of the materials: the beads, metal, glass, and polymer clay. I love the colors of the different beads and crystals, especially the Swarovski Aurora Borealis crystals and multicolor seed beeds. The design may be challenging, but there is a zen I find relaxing in the beading and working with metal, clay, or glass. If the person who buys my jewelry feels elegant because of it, then I have attained my purpose in beading the jewelry. I endeavor to create pieces that are very different from each other, unlike jewelry that are a copy of one another excluding bead color. This technique adds a sophisticated character to my jewelry and keeps me enthused about it.
