Come to see "Son de mi corazón" on April 12th at 8:30pm or April 13th at 6:30pm, at the Frist Campus Center Film and Performance Theatre!
Ballet Folklórico will be showcasing the regions of Veracruz, Huasteca Veracruzana, Jalisco, Baja California, Baja California Sur, Guerrero, Colima and Chiapas.
Ballet Folklórico de Princeton's 11th annual show, "Son de mi Corazón", is a tribute to the character of Mexico's traditional dance and music. It is a tribute to color and sound, to zapateados and costumes, and to the countless details that evoke in us passion, pride, nostalgia and, especially, love. Through the journey that is Ballet Folklórico, some of us learn and nurture a newfound love, while others remember our own families and cultural heritage. All of us, however, embrace the beauty and richness of a tradition that is both personal and social in nature.
