www.videojug.com...This is a classic Michael Jackson move that looks great, but the best bit is that it's easy to learn. Impress on the dance floor with your recently learnt dance move; the famous Michael Jackson spin./nStep 1: You will need
• Plenty of space
• a smooth floor
• some old socks to practice in
• the desire to thrill
1. Step 2: Starting position
Stand with your head up, your hands by your sides and you back straight. Place your feet a few inches apart with your toes pointing slightly outward.
2. Step 3: Supporting leg
Anthony is going to spin on his left leg but you can choose which ever you find more comfortable. Extend your supporting leg out in front of you and rest the ball of your foot on the floor.
3. Step 4: Arms
To keep it neat make sure your arms remain above chest level throughout the spin.
4. Step 5: Arm swing
Swing your arms by twisting through your torso from side to side a few times. This will help to build up propulsion for the spin.
5. Step 6: Feet
On you final spin, pivot your supporting foot slightly outwards.
6. Step 7: The release
When you are ready to spin, complete the arm swing you are on and then wrap you arms around your body, at chest level.
At the same time shift your weight onto your supporting foot and bring the other leg round and forward so that your feet are together.
Do not let the foot you've brought round touch the floor. Tuck the heal of it into the curve of your supporting foot so that they are locked together snugly.
7. Step 8: Stopping
During the spin keep all your limbs neatly locked into the body for as long as you feel balanced. Once you begin to run out of speed use your non supporting foot as a brake. Stamp it down, shoulder width apart from the other foot.
Top tip: If your landing is less than smooth, cover it up by adding a step, jump or other flourish.
8. Step 9: One step at a time
Don't get over ambitious. Practice getting the technique right before you try to do multiple spins and don't launch this on the public until you're confident that you can pull it off without damage.
