One of the biggest mistakes people make on video.. is one almost everyone makes.
I see it every day on LinkedIn.
It's called the "millennial pause". It's a short pause before you start speaking on video on social media.
It's not long. It may not even be half a second. But it's enough that most people will keep scrolling.
That's what we've become accustomed to on social media.
So how do you fix that? Well, you don't have to start talking the second your camera starts rolling.
When I'm editing (and I'm not at all technical at all, I just use the built-in editing feature on my phone's camera app), I cut off everything up until the point where I'm actually moving my mouth and the first sound of the first word is already tumbling out.
That way you avoid the millennial pause (even when you're GenX)
