Meet Dr. James McPherson, an experienced thoracic surgeon, the medical director of Thoracic Surgery and the co-director of the Lung Center of Excellence at Capital Health Cancer Center. Before pursuing medicine, Dr. McPherson served in the Army Reserves for 12 years and believes in the importance of giving back to his country. He chose Capital Health for its innovative approach and investment in cutting-edge robotic technology, such as the da Vinci system, which he uses for the majority of his surgeries. Cardiovascular disease and lung cancer are two of the biggest health challenges in the U.S., leading the way in mortality within their categories.
