Over 1,700 spectators braved the cold and blistering winds this past Sunday, Jan. 5, to witness the annual reenactment of the Battle of Princeton at Princeton Battlefield State Park.

More than 300 reenactors, representing multiple regiments historically involved in the battle, participated in the narrated reenactment across the park’s landscape.

Following the battle, a wreath dedication ceremony was held for all armed forces members who have served since the Revolutionary Era. Additionally, the Thomas Clarke House Historic Site opened for tours. Thank you to the Princeton Battlefield Society for organizing another exciting reenactment!

Events like the Battle of Princeton reenactment will continue to grow leading up to the 250th anniversary of the United States’ Declaration of Independence in 2026.

Grab your colonial hats, bonnets and accessories, and join the celebratory Congo-line of programs across New Jersey, as we prepare for America 250.
