The American Repertory Ballet stages the romantic masterwork "Giselle," a ballet beloved by dancers for its emphasis on both technique and story. The full-length story ballet originally premiered in Paris in 1841. Julie Diana Hench, Executive Director of ARB, Ian Hussey, ARB Ballet Master, Nanako Yamamoto, "Giselle," and Journy Wilkes-Davis, "Albrecht," tell the story and share why the ballet has such a special place in the world of dance. Also interviewed is José Manuel Carreño, one of ballet's superstars, who helped coach the dancers in this first-ever ARB production of "Giselle." It premiered in February 2020 at the New Brunswick Performing Arts Center. Produced by Susan Wallner; narrated by Nemuna Ceesay; videography by Joe Conlon. Special thanks to Dan Bauer. The American Repertory Ballet's Giselle
