Have you heard that video is really hot these days and want to make the most of it on LinkedIn? Today we’re going to be talking about the difference between Native Video and Shared Video. Shared video is video that lives on other platforms, perhaps YouTube or Vimeo. To post Shared Video, you copy the link to the video and then paste it directly into a LinkedIn post. This is easy, but LinkedIn doesn’t like it when people jump to other platforms, so it doesn’t get as much organic reach . The video shows you how to upload directly onto LinkedIn in a post. Native video gets more organic reach and also has other advantages: - It autoplays in the newsfeed, drawing more attention - You can upload captions in case someone views with the sound muted - Native video gets 5x more engagement and is more likely to start a conversation You first need to copy your video to your computer before you can upload it to LinkedIn. On mobile, you can record a video post directly from the app. Video 3 is part of the #10Tips10Days video challenge. If you enjoyed this tip, please Like this post and in the comment section, let us know if you have posted Native video yet.
