Over 80 London Bluebacks just put out! London “Bluebacks” are one of the classical “audiophile” series of records that are known, and sought-after, for their sonic qualities as much as for their performances. The “Bluebacks”, are early stereo productions identifiable by the blue color on the back cover and the term “Full Frequency Stereophonic Sound” on the label. They were made by the esteemed Decca label in England, for export to the U.S. from around 1958-1963 (the “Decca” name was already claimed here, so they used “London”). The warmth, clarity, and presence of these recordings are dear to those looking to put their pricey systems to the test, but they sound great on average ones as well! This collection has around 80 of these scarce titles. The former owner worked for London through this period, and while he played and enjoyed them, he also took very good care of them. Almost all the covers and records are in excellent shape, with just a light scratch or two here and there. Prices range from around $10.00 to $100 for the rarest. Please note that these pieces are sold first come, first served. Many of these titles are in very high demand, so to be as fair as we can to everyone, please do not call us to ask to put any on hold. For those not familiar with our store, sorry, we are a walk-in store only and do not ship.
