Providence House Domestic Violence Services of Catholic Charities provides comprehensive services to victims of domestic abuse and their children. We seek to end the cycle of domestic abuse through education, empowerment and advocacy while providing a safe haven from abuse.

Through our confidential and FREE services, we help victims:

Separate from abusive individuals
Change living arrangements
Filing restraining orders
Establish boundaries
Becoming aware of their options

Providence House Domestic Violence Services was established in Burlington County in 1978 and in Ocean County in 1986. We seek to remove the barriers that prevent a victim of domestic violence from living an abuse-free life.

These barriers are often created by:

Unfamiliarity with domestic violence
Uncertainty regarding financial and housing resources
Fear for one’s safety
Social isolation
Low self-esteem
