He has over 20 years experience conducting media polling and custom-designed research projects and is a frequent media commentator on politics and public opinion.

His experience includes numerous needs assessments for state agencies and regional organizations, and community evaluations for local municipalities. He has directed consumer assessments of public services, business studies, and regional service evaluations. Other studies include image research for transit providers, academic institutions and non-profit organizations, along with magazine reader surveys and public television viewer segmentation studies.
Mr. Murray has presented research to the American Association for Public Opinion Research and the American Political Science Association. He also teaches graduate courses in public opinion and has worked as an election analyst for NBC News and the national exit polls.
