Nikki Muller Princeton 2005 ....'My favorite Wawa closed. Time to write an anthem as tribute.
Piano by Sam Johnides. Amazing wah-wah guitar solo by John Kleber. Audio mix by Chris Thomas. Written/Directed/Edited and Performed by Nikki Muller, with Samara Bay and Mattie Brickman as the Wa Girls.
Special thanks to Andy Robinson. And the Wa. Forever.
Well I heard my baby’s gone and finally left the town
It’s been so many years got so used to having her around
Well she always kept the light on like a beacon through the night
And in times when I felt alone and scared, she always made me feel all right
Where will I eat without the wawa
Can’t sleep without my wawa
After the Street I need the wawa
The Wa, aaa
Well every time I was drunk with a late night craving
The Wa she was there, and ooo I swear those dollar hot dogs were amazing
And when the stress of all nighters made me want to break down and scream
Yeah the Wa had my back and she kept me on track with a steady supply of caffeine
Where would I be without the Wawa
What is the Dinky with no old Wa
So incomplete without the Wawa
Well I’m all for the arts, but it’s breaking my heart to see my sweet Wa go
It was always fulfilling inside that old building, you always felt at home
You say there’s a new store, but I stay eff you store, there’s only one Wa for me
You can call me insane but it won’t be same on Alexander street
