Lucianne Walkowicz, a Henry Norris Russell Fellow in the Department of Astrophysical Sciences at Princeton University studies exoplanets.
Exoplanets are Earth-like planets with the potential for certain life-sustaining properties, such as the existence of liquid water.
Walkowicz uses Kepler data to confirm new exoplanets by calculating whether the planet orbits its star within the limits of that star's habitable zone.
