www.princeton.edu/engineering...How many different ways do creatures communicate with one another? Howard A. Stone, Donald R. Dixon and Elizabeth W. Dixon Professor of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, and Bonnie Bassler, Squibb Professor in Molecular Biology, enlist the help of elementary-school students to explain the science of communication behind sound waves, pheromones, bioluminescence, and more./nThe footage in this video was taken during a lecture titled "Good Vibrations: How We Communicate," given by Stone and Bassler at Princeton on Dec. 18, 2010. The lecture was sponsored by the Princeton Center for Complex Materials and the National Science Foundation. Additional support was provided by the department of mechanical and aerospace engineering, the department of physics, and Schlumberger.
