We have just put out one of the more interesting LP collections we’ve had in some time. Around half is comprised of later pressings of modern jazz (nice, but not that unusual), but the other half is exploratory weirdness; mostly free jazz with a healthy dose of experimental-rock/20th Century.

The modern jazz recording are mostly from the bop era, all later pressings. A very nice assortment of titles from stalwarts like Miles, Mingus, Monk, Coltrane and others. It’s always great to have a good selection of cheaper pressings of classic titles in the house.

Most of the free jazz titles are from the late ‘70s through the early ‘80s. Highlights of the collection include:

William Parker “Through Acceptance of the Mystery Peace”, Centering Records 1001, $99.99
Abdul Wadud “By Myself” Bisharra BR/101 (private press), $79.99
Pan Afrikan Peoples Arkestra “Flight 17” , Nimbus West Nimbus 135, $59.99
Sonny Murray “Sonny’s Time Now”, DIW 25002, Japanese, $39.99
Sonic Youth “Sister” SST-134, Orig. uncensored cover, $69.99

Note that these records are sold first come, first served. Many of these titles are in very high demand, so to be as fair as we can to everyone, please do not call us to ask to put any on hold. For those not familiar with our store, sorry, we are a walk-in store only and do not ship.
